Miller Weldmaster suggests having a list of items on hand to help eliminate downtime and allow you to quickly get. your machine up and running.
Please refer to your machine manual at https://www.weldmaster.com/manuals/ for the exact part number needed.
Whether you are in the process of purchasing a new Miller Weldmaster or have had a machine for years, below is a list of parts that are suggested to keep on hand. Ask our service team or your sales rep about a spare parts kit that includes the below items. Or, you can purchase them individually from our service department.
Air Filter Cartridge
The Air Filter Cartridge helps to keep the flow of air to the machine clean of any particles. Keeping your machine free of anything that may damage the motor.
Heat Element
A heating element is needed to convert the power into heat for either the hot air nozzle or the wedge. This is important to keep on hand to help your machine keep consistent heat. Once the heating element goes bad, you lose the ability to get your machine up to the desired temperature to get a clean, consistent weld.
Thermo-couple
The Thermo-couple helps to monitor the temperature of your heat system. Maintining a consistent temperature helps to ensure a quality weld and product.
For Hot Air Machines:
-
Nozzle Sock
- A nozzle sock is used to wrap the hose on the hot air nozzle to act as an insulator.
-
Nozzle Wrap
- Similar to the nozzle sock, the wrap is used to add a barrier and act as an insulator
For Hot Wedge Machines:
-
Wedge Assemlby
- The wedge assembly is the physical wedge as well as the connector to the heating system. Over time, the wedge will wear down. To ensure a clean, quality seam, replacing the wedge ensures even heat is applied across the material and wedge.
-
Wedge Brush
- the wedge brush is a wire brush that is used to clean off the wedge. Used periodically, between runs, will help extend the life of the wedge and keep the quality of the seam.
Rollers
Silicone or knurled rollers are used on all Miller Weldmaster machines. Over time, silicon rollers wear down. Keeping clean rollers helps ensure a smooth seam and that material will not get damaged or have issues passing through the machine.
Note: the size roller will vary depending on the desired seam size. Please be sure to indicate that size when ordering new rollers.
Solenoid Valve
The Solenoid Valve is used to control the power to the machine. Keeping a spare on the solenoid valve for a quick change when down will allow you to get back up and running quicker.
