On August 17, 1999, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck the Marmara region of Turkey, killing more than 17,000 people and injuring over 40,000 others. The earthquake was one of the deadliest in Turkish history and left many families homeless and destitute.

With the ongoing earthquakes and tragedies that hit Tukey and the region, the Turkish Red Crescent Society have been extremely busy trying to keep up with the constant need for tents and shelters. Providing temporary shelters in rural areas to help improve access the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societes as well as places tents for those who need a place to sleep and live when their homes are destroyed.
With this need continuing to rise, the desire to keep up has grown. The Red Crescent Socity has been a customer of Miller Weldmaster and our international Partner Dost Group for many years!
