Whatever Happened to Miller Weldmaster’s “Pinky” T300 Welder?

July 23, 2018

Miller Weldmaster knows that its durable line of industrial fabric welding solutions provides a boost in productivity and craftsmanship for customers. But it didn’t realize how much until Super Sign Mart, a wholesale-only trade printer, grew enough to purchase a new Miller Weldmaster welder based on the outstanding performance of its original “Pinky” T300 welder.

This business partnership began in 2010 when Super Sign Mart won an auction for a pink Miller Weldmaster T300, a flexible welding solution that has the ability to use hot air and hot wedge welding technologies with an unlimited array of seam types. The auction was held at the IFAI industry show to raise funds for the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. The machine was festooned in pink with the breast cancer ribbon, and was soon named “Pinky.”

Founded in 1999 with only one screen printing line, Super Sign Mart grew steadily through strong service and quality craftsmanship to become the largest trade printer in its region. They were previously using a sewing machine to provide the finishing touches on banners, but owner-operator Todd Davis says the addition of the “Pinky” T300 enabled the small business to provide customers with a cleaner, better looking and more durable product in a fraction of the time.

Davis’ favorite things about the Miller Weldmaster T300 are how easy it is to operate and its minimal maintenance requirements. “Our growth is based on our dedicated employees and our ability to provide outstanding banner quality using the T300,” commented Davis. “We use our MW machine all day, every day!”

After seeing tremendous growth in its banner business in recent years, Super Sign Mart didn’t hesitate to add a second T300 from Miller Weldmaster. Because the T300 welding machine is such a superior product, Super Sign Mart found that it had to make very few service calls. When they did, however, they just mentioned that they owned “Pinky” and the Miller Weldmaster service team immediately knew the machine. “I appreciate that Miller Weldmaster answers my questions in one phone call, and I don't have to wait for a call back,” concluded Davis. “MW knows their products and easily walks me through any issues I encounter so we can continue meeting our customers’ needs.”
